I have laptop troubel?

hello i have a gateway model 450sx4 and i have some corrupted files.ok i put the windows xp disk in the laptop and it get to the windows setup blue screen and then this pops up the file pcmcia.sys is corrupted press any key to continue. so idk what to do and when i load my laptop with out the disk in this comes up windows couldnt not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: ... windows root system32 ntoskrnl.exe ...please re-install a copy of the above file... so if there is any one out there thats knows how to fix this problem plz help and if you have a video that would help to lol thanks
