PS3 BETA Home TESTER helppppp invite?

well one of my ps3 friends has been accpeted into beta home testing, i previously didnt know anything about beta testing; well still dont really know how to become a beta tester but i did read that someone currently beta testing can invite you to beta test aswell and i asked my frind to invite me and he said its not working he said it said somin like this person is not a beta home tester could you tell me what todo or tell me what he should do so i can become a home beta tester tooo, also i think hes from america and from UK so does tht make a diff?
